The facelift is an operation that corrects or improves the visible effects of aging of the face and neck as:
- Sagging midface
- Dark circles and grooves in the lower eyelids
- Nasolabial folds
- Sagging fat
- Loss of muscle tone in the lower third of the face
- Wrinkles and excess fatty deposits under the chin and jaw
There are other resurfacing procedures performed in conjunction with a facelift as brow lift, or eyelid surgery.
The facelift does not change your bone structure or the fundamental features of your face, nor stops the normal aging process.
The facelift can only be done surgically, non-surgical rejuvenation treatments can not achieve the same results, but may delay the time when the facelift is appropriate.
